Structure Name: St Anne

Description:
 
Parish church built in the Romanesque style. The main body of the church is Norman though the interior is entirely 19th century. Of particular interest is the church's fortified tower which has a tunnel vaulted ground floor which blocks the original 12th century doorway to the nave.

  • 1870   Nave extended and restored, chancel rebuilt, new south doorway installed and windows replaced.
  • 1886   Fortified tower restored.
